Ballarat Health Services is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, which will see hospital beds and a much-needed helipad being added to the hospital.

Minister for Health David Davis announced on Thursday (September 19) that the redevelopment had just entered a new phase, which will see the third and fourth floors of the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre being "fitted-out".

When this is completed, the Ballarat Health Services administration office will move here. This will clear the way for Yuille House to be demolished and a new ward block constructed in its place.

"These works are due to begin this month, and will lead to the next stage of this exciting development for the Ballarat community," said Mr Davis.

The hospital's brand-new helipad and a multi-level carpark are set to begin construction later this year.

"The Ballarat community can continue to watch this exciting redevelopment with great interest," concluded Mr Davis.
